Au Pair in Dublin Ireland

Locations

Work & Study as an Aupair in Ireland: The Au Pair division of the Irish College of English arranges Nanny and Au Pair jobs in Ireland for foreign students all year around. There are already many students using this opportunity to study and work abroad as an Au Pair in Dublin.

At our Malahide and Swords based English language schools, we run English Courses for Au Pairs, nannies and child minders and we organise complete Au Pair stays with childminding for Irish families in the Swords and Malahide/Dublin area, facilitating both people wishing to be Au Pairs and Irish families within the area seeking Au Pairs for their children.

English Courses for Au Pairs in Dublin

We are different to traditional au pair agencies in that we are a modern language school, and therefore we also run evening English courses for Au Pairs two evenings per week, with a choice of General / Business English Classes or Cambridge Exam Preparation classes. These evening classes are not only a great social outlet but also the key to an au pair improving their English. All au pairs placed through us attend English language classes and we also welcome other au pairs in the locality to join our evening courses. We aim for our au pairs to leave Ireland not only with greatly improved English but also with a recognised International qualification. Au-pairs often attend our Cambridge Exam Classes.

Working as a Nanny/Au Pair in Ireland

Being a nanny or Au-Pair in Ireland means a temporary working stay with an Irish host family in order to improve your knowledge of the English language and the culture, customs and people of Ireland. Working as an Au-Pair abroad is not a holiday – it demands strength, perseverance and adaptability. During their homestay, Au-Pairs are expected to mind children, do some light housework and attend two evenings of English classes per week. The rewards are great. If you succeed and study well, you will not only improve your English but also become more mature and independent.

Staying with an Irish Family

Our Irish families are carefully selected and most are experienced in employing Au-Pairs. Average pocket money is 100 euro per week. If a student Au Pair has to take a bus or train to class this will be subsidised by the family.
